 Cat's Claw is a robust, woody vine. It earned its name from the presence of thorn formations that closely resemble a cat's claws along its length. For a span of at least 2,000 years, various indigenous tribes in Peru, including the Aguaruna, Ashaninka, Cashibo, Conibo, and Shipibo, have harnessed the benefits of cat's claw. Among these tribes, the Ashaninka tribe in central Peru holds the distinction of having the lengthiest recorded history of utilizing this plant.
